◼️ Don’t Open THAT Box / The Screamer ◼️
A monochrome freehand illustration, drawn with Sakura Pigma Microns on 330gsm cold-press paper.
Inspired by Chandler Bing’s offhand warning - “Don’t open that box!” - this piece unravels into a visual spill of modern mania.
It channels the pressures, absurdities, greed, and imbalance of contemporary existence, suggesting that confronting these forces may unleash more chaos than comfort.
Ruminating visual footnotes engulf the composition: each element interlinked, each detail echoing the claustrophobia of containment.
Even the faintest glimmers of hope seem to evaporate, reinforcing the isolating undercurrent.
Ultimately, The Screamer is both a cautionary glance and an invitation - to reflect on the complexities we keep boxed away, and to consider what might emerge when we dare to lift the lid.
